It has been a week that is amazing! The fantastic College Admissions Scandal of 2019 broke yesterday — the annual period of admission choices — and stones on . a historic college confidential forum thread, now approaching 3,000 (!) posts, has analyzed all facets with this ‘pay to relax and play’ fiasco, from both a moms and dad’s and pupil’s viewpoint.
Needless to say the news have now been having a field with all of this, too day. In fact, it’s uncommon that you can select a news web site, even now, without seeing some types of tale for this scandal. Pupils are suing colleges, parents are suing colleges, colleges are rescinding admissions, etc. It’s really a higher education three-ring circus.
Plus, the timing couldn’t become more perfect, or awful, according to which side you are on. A few weeks, the Ivy League spring choices will come away, along with those of other so-called ‘elite’ schools. These ‘elites’ are in the scandal’s bullseye. Therefore, one possible metaphor for in a few days’s pending decisions could be that of a rocket regarding the launch pad featuring its machines pre-ignited, prepared for the shackles holding it back again to launch and invite liftoff.
The liftoff that is metaphorical function as filing of lawsuits from elite applicants who are rejected.
